May 26, 2009 - Tonight is our last general meeting of the quarter. Be sure to stop on by HIB 110 at 8 PM for the quick meeting and exciting afterevent! We'll be doing a stage rally! Following the speedlimit and local traffic laws, the driver who reaches each checkpoint closest to the secret time will win the event. Its sure to be fun!

May 12, 2009 - Track day went great this past weekend. Those who attended had a wonderful time learning and driving around Streets of Willow! Toninght we'll be having our general meeting at 8 PM in HIB 110. Come on out and see us!
May 5, 2009 - Happy Cinco de Mayo. This last weekend Imports@UCI had its tech day at wills house in Garden Grove. Those who came out had a good time and learned a thing or two. This weekend the club will be headed out to Streets of Willow in the lovely city of Rosamond for our quarterly track event, this time with SpeedVentures. Be sure to sign up at speedventures.com for the Saturday event, spaces are going fast. We’ll be meeting Friday night to caravan up to Lancaster, where we’ll stay in a hotel as a group. For more details shoot Andy an email or give him a call.

March 2, 2009 - Tomorrow night Imports@UCI will be having its final meeting of the quarter. The meeting is going to be held at K1 Speed Irvine, an indoor karting facility. We'll have a short meeting and finish the night off with some good ol racing. You can meet on campus around 6:30 if you need a ride, or if you like you can meet us at K1 Speed at 7 PM for the meeting. We'll see you there!
March 2, 2009 - This weekends car show turned out fantastic. There were more cars at this event than any in the past. The pizza was good, drinks held up until the pizza was gone, Red Bull showed up to offer their drinks, and in the end there were 3 winners! A three-rotor RX7 took the top honors, a time attack prepared EG civic took best student, and a Celica took honorable mention. Congrats to the three of them and thanks to everyone who came out. February 27, 2009 - Tomorrow in lot 16H is the Imports@UCI 3rd Annual Car Show! Make sure to stop by for some free food, drinks, music, and some real nice looking cars. Hope to see you there, roll-in starts around 9:30 and the show will continue throughout the day.

February 4, 2009 - This Saturday we'll be heading out to the wonderful Willow Springs in Rosamond, CA for track day with Speedventures. A few of us are tracking our cars, and the rest will go for support and to enjoy the time away from the worries of our busy lives. The caravan will be leaving Friday night around 6:30 PM from Irvine, will fight through traffic on the way to the track, and end up at the Inn of Lancaster. The Inn of Lancaster has nice beds, a hearty complimentary breakfast, and ample parking. January 27, 2009 - Tech day at Will's this past Saturday turned out to be a success, as we reinstalled one members stock exhaust header. We took a look at some other members cars to identify strange noises and various problems. I hear that some people learned something new, and someone else even mentioned the word "fun" throughout the day. How about that!
January 21, 2009 – This weekend we’ll be heading over to the home of our president, Will Stevens. Just as our country’s president took his oath this week, Will took an oath to serve Imports@UCI and as such he will allow us to have TECH DAY at his place. Bring your car, any parts you want installed, and any tools if you have them. We’ll help with the labor and the know-how.

January 15, 2009 – Come out paintballing with some of us this weekend at SC Village in Chino Hills. Relieve some of that stress gained already in this winter quarter. We’ll be leaving from Jack in the Box around 8am to take advantage of the beautiful weather.

November 12, 2008 – We’ll be heading out to Long Beach this weekend for the Red Bull Drifting World Championships. We have college VIP passes so we’ll have access to free drinks and a special seating area on Saturday only. If you want to go Sunday as well talk to us and we’ll figure out who wants to go for an additional day of excitement!

On another note, our very own John Howard achieved his first victory this past weekend in Honda Challenge. After coming back from a crash last month on Saturday, he did an on track repair and earned 2nd place the next day. Since then he got the damage fixed and made it out to the November races ready to rumble. Rumble he did as he held off 4 cars to earn first place this past Saturday. Congratulations John!
