Installing Greddy EvoII Exhaust system on a Lexus GS300

Contents: 2 mufflers, 1 midpipe, 3 gaskets, 4 bolts washers and nuts, 1 Greddy Emblem, 1 Greddy Sticker, 1 Greddy License Plate Frame, 1 Warranty Card, and 1 Package note.

Tools needed: 1 Jack, 4 Jackstands, 1 Wrench, 3 sockets, 1 Adjustable wrench (or two sets of wrenches and sockets), Breaker bar, WD-40, and a bar or hook to aid in removing rubber hanger rings, 1 good friend, and PROFESSIONAL SUPERVISION!

Time needed: 1 hour, depending on how hard your muffler hangers are to remove, and how many time you mess up the midpipe configuration.

This exhaust fits 2nd generation GS 300, 400, and 430. The system is not recommended for the 300 because of the large diameter piping and possible bottom end power loss. If it is a turbocharged 300, then it should suite better.

Take off the old exhaust:
Remove two bolts on the cross beam. Remove two bolts on the cat's flange.
Remove the two rubber hangers.

Remove the rubber rings, two per muffler.

Compare and enjoy the Greddy Exhaust, before it hides away under your car:

Install the new exhaust system:
Figure out how the mufflers and midpipe are suppose to be arranged. Keep in mind, the muffler's Greddy logo must face down toward the ground, this makes it easy to figure out which muffler goes where. For the midpipe, it's tricky to determine which way it goes, it can easily get mounted upside down. The way to correctly mount it, is by making sure that the pipe section next to the cat curves up towards the car, then curves downward nearing the mufflers. Mount the muffler hangers and the midpipe hangers. Connect the mufflers using the gaskets and bolts provided, the bolt torque is unspecified, but make sure it's really tight. Connect the midpipe to the cat using the provided gasket. Use the two bolts that came with the car, and make sure you remove the original gasket as well. Lastly connect the cross beam, the first thing that was taken off.
